Sun Yingsha & Wang Chuqin Claim WTT China Smash Mixed Doubles Title

In a thrilling finale at the WTT China Smash in Beijing, Sun Yingsha and Wang Chuqin captured the mixed doubles crown, overpowering fellow players from the Chinese mainland, Huang Youzheng and Chen Yi, in straight games.

The sixth-seeded duo turned back a late wildcard surge with an 11–8, 11–9, 11–9 victory1 marking their fifth mixed doubles triumph at the Grand Smash level.

On the men's singles court, France's seventh seed FΓ©lix Lebrun halted hometown hope Chen Junsong's fairy-tale run in a tense six-game match (11–6, 12–10, 7–11, 9–11, 11–5, 12–10). Lebrun now faces China's Lin Shidong in the semifinals, after the second seed beat Japan's Yukiya Uda 11–8, 11–7, 11–6, 11–5.

The women's draw delivered another epic battle: top seed and defending champion Sun Yingsha edged World No. 5 Wang Yidi in a seven-game classic, rallying from 3-2 down to win 14–12, 4–11, 11–6, 7–11, 12–14, 11–3, 11–8. Sun will now take on compatriot Chen Xingtong, who defeated Macao SAR's Zhu Yuling 4–2.

In the other women's semifinal, South Korea's 16th-seeded Shin Yu-bin goes head-to-head with China's second-ranked Wang Manyu, setting the stage for more high-octane table tennis action as the tournament heads into its final stages.
