The sixth-seeded duo, fresh from a first-round bye, recovered from an 11-13 first-game loss to Australia’s Aditya Sareen and India’s Yashaswini Ghorpade. Sun and Wang dominated the next three games 11-4, 11-5, 11-7 to secure their spot in the round of 16.
