In a show of sprinting dominance at the World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, USA's Noah Lyles powered to his fourth consecutive 200m title. The 28-year-old crossed the line in a blazing 19.52 seconds, leaving rival Kenny Bednarek in his wake with 19.58 for silver.
Jamaica's Bryan Levell claimed bronze with a personal best of 19.64 seconds. Lyles's victory puts him level with Usain Bolt, who also snagged four straight golds in the 200m from 2009 to 2015.
It was a double delight for Team USA as fellow American Jefferson-Wooden also struck gold in the women's 200m final, underscoring the strength of US sprinting on the global stage.
