Scottie Scheffler Sets the Pace at Royal Portrush
The enormous yellow scoreboard above the 18th green at Royal Portrush told the story: World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler was in total control. From his first-hole birdie setup—a nine-iron that landed a foot from the pin—to the final tap-in that sealed a 68 and a four-shot victory at 17-under-par, Scheffler never let up.
Dominance Reminiscent of a Legend
In a historical context, you could argue there are only two or three players who have run like this over 24 to 36 months. Incredibly impressive.
Chasing the Career Grand Slam
With his second major of 2025 and fourth in three seasons, the 29-year-old American captured the third leg of the Career Grand Slam, leaving only the U.S. Open unclaimed. Scheffler is also the first player in over a century to win his first four majors by at least three shots, underscoring the margin of his brilliance.

A Masterclass in Focus
Being able to walk up 18 with the tournament in hand is a really cool feeling. It’s a high level of focus over 72 holes. This was one of my best performances mentally.
What's Next?
With momentum on his side, all eyes now turn to the U.S. Open, where Scheffler will look to cement his place alongside the true greats of the game.
