PSG Triumph Over Arsenal 2-1 to Secure Champions League Final Spot

Paris Saint-Germain staged a tactical masterclass at Parc des Princes, rallying to beat Arsenal 2–1 on the night and 3–1 on aggregate to book their place in the UEFA Champions League final.

Arsenal piled on 61 attacks but PSG’s defense and goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma stood firm. The breakthrough arrived in the 27th minute when Fabian Ruiz smashed a half-volley from a cleared free kick into the corner.

With space to exploit on the break, Achraf Hakimi doubled the lead in the 72nd minute, firing home after linking up with substitute Ousmane Dembélé. Bukayo Saka pulled one back for Arsenal, but the comeback fell short.

PSG coach Luis Enrique said, 'I said from the first day that our goal was to work hard enough to be in a position to make history – and that remains our goal, to be the first to win the long-awaited trophy.'

This marks PSG’s second final appearance, five years after their first. It also underlines the club’s shift from big-name transfers to a balanced squad built on youth, adaptability and collective strength.

Looking ahead, PSG will face Inter Milan on May 31 in Munich. PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi added, 'We believe in our coach and our young, hungry players. They fight for the team, they die for the jersey.'
