Chinese Stars Xu and Li Shine at Freeski World Championships

At the FIS Snowboard/Freestyle/Freeski World Championships in Corviglia, Switzerland, Chinese athletes delivered standout performances, with Xu and Li earning silvers in highly competitive events.

Xu Mengtao clinched the silver medal in the women’s aerials event by scoring 99.16 points on her second run – just behind American competitor Kaila Kuhn’s 105.13 – while Australian Danielle Scott finished third with 96.93 points.

In a strong display of depth, China’s squad, including Xu, Shao Qi, and Chen Xuezheng, advanced to the finals. Competing in her seventh world championship, Xu continued her impressive streak of podium finishes, underscoring her determination and skill.
