Ronaldo’s Late Goal Sparks Thrilling 2-2 Draw for Al Nassr Against Al Shabab

In a nail-biting encounter on Friday, Al Nassr were held to a 2-2 draw by Al Shabab at home, extending their winless streak to three games.

The match kicked off with Al Shabab taking an early lead in the 44th minute. Daniel Podence was fouled by Nawaf Boushal inside the box, resulting in a penalty. Abderrazak Hamdallah confidently converted the spot-kick, giving Al Shabab a 1-0 advantage.

However, the advantage was short-lived. Al Shabab's defense made a critical error during Cristiano Ronaldo’s free kick, allowing Ayman Yahya to seize the opportunity and equalize with a powerful shot in the second minute of stoppage time.

The drama didn’t end there. Five minutes later, Sadio Mane set up Ronaldo, who scored his 926th career goal after initially being flagged offside. The decision was overturned after a review by the video assistant referee (VAR), putting Al Nassr ahead 2-1.

Al Nassr's celebrations were dampened six minutes into the second half when Mohammed Al-Fatil received a red card for bringing down Podence, leaving Al Nassr to defend with ten men. The numerical disadvantage pressured them as Al Shabab pressed forward.

In the 67th minute, Mohammed Al Shwirekh nodded in a corner to restore the tie at 2-2 for Al Shabab. Neither team could find the net again, and the match concluded with Al Nassr securing just one win in their last six games across all competitions.
