Li Shifeng, ranked World No. 7, showcased exceptional skill by overcoming India's H.S. Prannoy in a thrilling three-game match. Dominating the first game 21-8, Li faced a resilient comeback from Prannoy, who took the second game 21-15. In the decider, Li reasserted his dominance to clinch the game 23-21 after Prannoy hit the net. Li is set to face Chinese Taipei's Chi Yu-jen in the last eight.
In the women's doubles, China's Jia Yifan and Zhang Shuxian triumphed over the sixth-seeded Indian duo Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand Pullela in three games. This victory marks Jia and Zhang's third international event as a team. They led 14-12 in the decider before closing out the contest 21-19 to reach the last eight.
However, in the men's doubles, China's second seeds Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang faced an unexpected defeat against South Korea's Kim Won Ho and Seo Seung Jae, losing 21-17, 21-16, and missing out on a quarterfinal spot.
