China Media Group (CMG) hosted a year-ending event on Tuesday in Beijing to introduce its sporting highlights for 2025.
CMG announced the broadcast of 56 competitions in 2025, alongside updates to five shows on its sports channel, CCTV-5. The event was attended by CMG President Shen Haixiong.
International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach sent his wishes via video, expressing gratitude for CMG's partnership with the IOC and its successful coverage of the Olympics.
Among the six major competitions that CMG will cover in 2025 are the upcoming Asian Winter Games and the World Games. In addition, CMG will broadcast 50 other events, including World Championships across multiple sports and various league events throughout the year.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary, CCTV-5 will update three of its current shows and expand to digital platforms with two new shows, enhancing its reach and engagement with sports enthusiasts worldwide.
