The match kicked off with Vangelis Pavlidis breaking the deadlock in the 28th minute. Assisted by Angel Di Maria, Pavlidis unleashed a powerful long-range shot that left Estoril's goalkeeper Joel Robles with no chance.
Zeki Amdouni extended Benfica's lead in the 73rd minute following a rebound off Robles from an attempt by Aktürkoglu. The star forward didn't stop there, heading in another goal during stoppage time from a corner delivered by Beste.
With this triumph, Benfica now stands one point ahead of Sporting, who could only manage a goalless draw with Gil Vicente in their latest match.
