John Parry Clinches Second DP World Tour Victory at Mauritius Open After 14 Years

In a thrilling display of perseverance and skill, England's John Parry ended his 14-year wait for a second DP World Tour win by triumphing at the Mauritius Open in Grand Baie. Playing at the picturesque Mont Choisy Le Golf, Parry shot an impressive 64, setting the clubhouse target at 14 under par with a combination of one eagle, seven birdies, and a single bogey.

Starting five shots behind the leader, Parry's remarkable performance kept him in contention throughout the tournament. The anticipation built as he awaited the final results from third-round co-leader Dylan Naidoo. However, Naidoo was unable to secure the eagle needed to force a playoff, allowing Parry to celebrate his well-deserved victory.

South African golfers Dylan Naidoo and Christo Lamprecht finished tied for second place, two shots behind Parry. This landmark win marks Parry's second at the tour level, his first being at the Vivendi Cup in France back in September 2010 when he was in his early twenties.

\"It's massive. I was back on the Europro, I was close to giving up golf after winning when I was 23 out here. So it's been a long battle back, but worth every moment for this, this week,\" Parry expressed, highlighting the emotional and professional significance of his achievement.
