Chen Long and Lee Yong-dae Inducted into 2024 BWF Hall of Fame

In a prestigious recognition of their outstanding careers, China's Chen Long and South Korea's Lee Yong-dae have been inducted into the 2024 Badminton World Federation (BWF) Hall of Fame.

At 35 years old, Chen Long has been a pivotal figure during what is often referred to as the golden era of Chinese badminton. Renowned for his ability to perform under pressure, Chen has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest badminton players in China’s history.

Chen's illustrious career boasts an Olympic gold medal from Rio 2016, a silver from Tokyo 2020, and a bronze from London 2012. In addition to his Olympic successes, he has claimed two World Championships titles and an impressive 22 Super Series and World Tour titles.

Joining him in this honor is Lee Yong-dae from South Korea, celebrated for his remarkable achievements as a doubles specialist. Lee's career highlights include winning a gold medal at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, showcasing his exceptional skill and teamwork on the international stage.

The inductions of Chen Long and Lee Yong-dae into the BWF Hall of Fame not only acknowledge their individual talents and dedication but also highlight their significant contributions to the sport of badminton globally.
