In a thrilling showdown in Bolton, England, Mark Williams of Wales emerged victorious against Xiao Guodong of the Chinese mainland with a score of 10-6, clinching the Champion of Champions title for the first time in his illustrious career.

From the outset, Williams found his rhythm, swiftly building a 2-0 lead. Xiao faced challenges early on, struggling with an in-off and a failed safety in the second frame. Despite these setbacks, he showcased resilience, striving to keep pace with Williams' composure throughout the match.

Williams extended his advantage with impressive breaks of 91 and 77, reaching a commanding 4-0 lead.
