Arsenal's Premier League title challenge took another hit on Sunday after a 1-1 draw with Chelsea.
The Gunners are now four games without a league win under Mikel Arteta, sitting nine points behind leaders Liverpool.
Despite earning a point that moved Arsenal up to fourth in the standings, the ongoing winless run has widened the gap at the top, placing Chelsea in third ahead of Arsenal on goal difference.
Gabriel Martinelli gave Arsenal the lead in the 60th minute at Stamford Bridge, but Pedro Neto equalized for Chelsea ten minutes later.
\"It's about transforming these performances into victories,\" Arteta commented post-match.
Arsenal, who finished as runners-up to Manchester City in the past two seasons, are now facing stiff competition from Liverpool, who have surged ahead under new manager Arne Slot. Manchester City, trailing in second place, have suffered two consecutive league losses.
\"We know the quality and mentality we have and we just have to keep going,\" said Arsenal's captain Martin Odegaard.
Below the top two, the Premier League standings are tight, with just four points separating Chelsea and 13th-place Manchester United after 11 rounds this season.
