Chinese Swimmers Shine at Shanghai Short Course World Cup

China had a remarkable start at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in Shanghai, securing a total of eight medals on the opening day. The team clinched two golds, four silvers, and two bronzes, highlighting their dominance in both freestyle and breaststroke events.

In the women’s 400m freestyle, Liu Yaxin delivered an outstanding performance, finishing first with a time of 3:58.45. Her compatriots, Li Bingjie and Tang Muhan, followed closely, earning silver and bronze respectively.

On the men's side, world champion Qin Haiyang excelled in the 100m breaststroke, taking home the gold with a time of 55.73 seconds. Sun Jiajun also showcased his talent by securing a bronze medal in the same event.

The strong performances from the Chinese swimmers set a positive tone for the rest of the competition, demonstrating the country’s continued excellence in the sport of swimming.
