Guirassy Leads Dortmund to 4-2 Comeback Victory over Bochum

In a thrilling Bundesliga clash, Borussia Dortmund showcased resilience by overturning a two-goal deficit to secure a 4-2 victory against Bochum on Friday. The standout performance came from Serhou Guirassy, who scored twice and earned a crucial penalty that turned the tide for Dortmund.

Dortmund entered the match eager to rebound from last week's heavy 5-1 loss to Stuttgart. However, early setbacks saw Bochum take a commanding 2-0 lead within the first five minutes. Matus Bero opened the scoring with a slick one-two pass through the center, followed by Dani de Wit capitalizing on a loose ball to double Bochum's advantage. Coach Nuri Sahin expressed his frustration visibly from the sidelines.

Determined to fight back, Dortmund began to claw their way into the game. Just before halftime, Guirassy nodded in a header to reduce the deficit to 2-1. Emre Can then stepped up to convert a penalty awarded after Bochum committed a clumsy foul on Guirassy, leveling the score at 2-2.

The momentum shifted as Dortmund launched a decisive counter-attack. Karim Adeyemi delivered a perfect through-ball to Guirassy, who skillfully maneuvered the ball between goalkeeper Patrick Drewes' legs to make it 3-2. The comeback was sealed when Felix Nmecha capitalized on a goalkeeper mistake, adding a fourth goal for Dortmund.

With this win, Borussia Dortmund climbed to second place in the Bundesliga standings, trailing only Bayern Munich with 10 points from five games. Looking ahead, Dortmund is set to face Celtic in the UEFA Champions League next week. Meanwhile, Bochum struggles near the bottom of the table, holding onto a solitary point under their new coach Peter Zeidler.
