Chinese Shuttlers Advance to Quarterfinals in All Events at China Open

Chinese players have secured their place in the quarterfinals of all five events at the China Open held in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. This achievement highlights the strength and depth of China's badminton talent.

In the men's singles, home favorite Weng Hongyang made a strong comeback to defeat Chou Tien-chen of Chinese Taipei with scores of 20-22, 21-18, 21-15. Weng will next face Denmark's Anders Antonsen, while fellow Chinese player Lei Lanxi overcame Japan's Kenta Nishimoto 21-8, 21-17, setting up a potential semifinal clash between the two Chinese shuttlers.

The women's singles saw Wang Zhiyi triumph over her compatriot Zhang Yiman with scores of 29-27, 21-21, advancing to the last eight. Wang will continue her journey against Gao Fangjie, who eliminated Sung Shuo-yun of Chinese Taipei 9-21, 21-13, 21-17.

In men's doubles, the Chinese pair He Jiting and Ren Xiangyu beat Denmark's Daniel Lundgaard and Mads Vestergaard 21-11, 21-16, becoming the only Chinese doubles team in the quarterfinals. They are set to compete against another Danish duo, Kim Astrup and Anders Skaarup Rasmussen, for a spot in the semifinals.
