Jiang Yuyan and Di Dongdong to Carry Chinese Flag at 2024 Paralympics Closing Ceremony

Jiang Yuyan and Di Dongdong have been selected as the flag bearers for China at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in Paris, the Chinese delegation announced on Friday.

Both athletes have delivered outstanding performances throughout this year's Paralympic Games. Jiang secured seven swimming gold medals, breaking two individual world records and three Paralympic records in the women's 100-meter backstroke S6, women's 100-meter freestyle S6, and women's 50-meter freestyle S6 events.

In addition to her individual achievements, Jiang teamed up with Peng Qiuping, Yuan Weiyi, and Guo Jincheng to dominate the 4×50-meter freestyle relay 20 points final, setting a new world record of 2:14.98.

Di Dongdong also made a remarkable impact by winning a gold medal in the men's long jump T11 event, where he set a world record of 6.85 meters. He complemented this feat with a bronze in the men's 100-meter T11 race.

The closing ceremony of the 2024 Paralympic Games will take place at the Stade de France in Saint-Denis on Sunday, celebrating the incredible achievements of athletes from around the world.
