Jack Draper Makes Historic Semifinals Run at U.S. Open

In a thrilling display of skill and determination, 22-year-old Jack Draper advanced to his first Grand Slam semifinal at the U.S. Open, defeating Alex de Minaur in straight sets.

Draper, the first British male player to reach this stage of the tournament since Andy Murray in 2012, showcased his aggressive play by securing early breaks and maintaining a dominant performance throughout the match. He won with scores of 6-3, 7-5, 6-2, dropping only six points on serve.

His victory marks a significant milestone in his career, building on his first ATP Tour title win in Stuttgart this past June. Draper's impressive form has him set to face either top-seed Jannik Sinner or 2021 champion Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals on Friday.

Reflecting on his performance, Draper expressed pride in his solid match and adaptation to the unique conditions at Ashe. \"I thought it was just a solid match all around. Proud of my performance. I served pretty well, and I did a good job to come through,\" Draper said.
