Li Fabin Claims Second Olympic Gold for Chinese Mainland in Paris 2024

Li Fabin, a 31-year-old weightlifter from the Chinese mainland, has made history by securing his second consecutive Olympic gold in the men's 61kg category at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Fabin showcased remarkable strength and skill, setting an Olympic record with a 143kg snatch and impressively lifting 167kg in the clean and jerk, culminating in a winning total of 310kg.

The event marked the first weightlifting competition of the Paris Games, drawing attention from around the world. Thailand's Theerapong Silachai earned the silver medal with a total lift of 303kg, while Hampton Morris of the United States took home the bronze with a 298kg total.

Fabin's outstanding performance not only highlights his personal dedication and athletic prowess but also reinforces the Chinese mainland's prominence in the field of weightlifting on the global stage.
