Chinese Mainland Delegation Applauds Strong Start at Paris 2024 Olympics

Delegation from the Chinese mainland are making waves at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games, securing an impressive tally of 21 gold, 18 silver, and 14 bronze medals across 12 events in just the first ten days. At a press conference held on Tuesday, Zhou Jinqiang, Vice Chief of the delegation, hailed these results as \"a relatively ideal outcome.\"

The delegation witnessed a stellar start, with two gold and one silver medals clinched in shooting, diving, and swimming on the opening day. Zhou emphasized the team's resilience, noting that despite facing challenges in swimming and gymnastics over the next two days, the team implemented targeted strategies to alleviate athlete pressure and maintain high morale.

A standout performance came from swimmer Pan Zhanle, who shattered the men's 100-meter freestyle world record, finishing the race in an astonishing 46.4 seconds to claim the gold medal. Pan's achievement has not only elevated China's standing in the swimming arena but also inspired fellow athletes to push their limits.
