Paris 2024: Chinese Swimmers Undergo Highest Number of Doping Tests

At the Paris 2024 Olympics, Chinese swimmers have faced the highest number of doping tests among the leading national delegations. Since the beginning of the year, each Chinese swimmer has undergone an average of 21 doping tests, according to World Aquatics, surpassing their counterparts from other nations.

World Aquatics revealed on July 23 that Chinese swimmers competing in Paris have been tested 13 times on average by the organization's own protocols, with additional tests conducted by other anti-doping bodies, bringing the total to 21 per athlete. This statistic is notably higher compared to the testing frequencies of other leading swimming nations, where American swimmers averaged six tests, Australian swimmers four, and Italian swimmers five tests per athlete since January 1, 2024.

The extensive testing regimen demonstrates the commitment to maintaining integrity and ensuring a fair competitive environment at the Olympic Games.
