China Shines on Paris 2024 Olympic Opening Day with Two Golds and a Bronze

Athletes from the Chinese mainland made a strong start at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics on Saturday, securing two gold medals and one bronze medal on the first full day of competition.

In the 10-meter air rifle mixed team shooting final, Huang Yuting and Sheng Lihao triumphed over South Korea's Keum Ji-hyeon and Park Ha-jun with a score of 16-12, earning the first gold for the Chinese mainland in Paris 2024.

Later in the day, the diving duo of Chen Yiwen and Chang Yani dominated the women's synchronized 3-meter springboard event, scoring 337.68 points. This victory not only added a second title for the Chinese mainland but also extended the country's Olympic winning streak in the event to six consecutive editions.

This successful opening day sets a promising tone for the Chinese mainland athletes as they continue to compete in the remaining events of the Paris Olympics.
