The 2024 Summer Olympic medals made a special appearance at China Media Group's (CMG) Paris studio on Tuesday, marking one of their rare public showcases since the official unveiling in February.
Delivered by the Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), the medals highlight OBS's strong partnership with CMG, one of the primary broadcasters for the 2024 Paris Summer Games.
Each medal is intricately designed, featuring a hexagon-shaped piece of iron sourced from the iconic Eiffel Tower at its center. Tony Estanguet, President of the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, emphasized that this unique design, crafted by the renowned French jewelry house Chaumet, ensures each medal is one-of-a-kind.
Adding to the display, OBS also brought a torch for the 2024 Olympics to the studio. The torch relay recently passed through the historic Palace of Versailles in Yvelines, symbolizing the event's grandeur and the enduring legacy of the Olympic spirit.
