The Paris Summer Olympics gymnastics competitions are set to take place at the iconic Bercy Arena, also hosting trampoline and basketball events. The highly anticipated gymnastics action kicks off on Saturday, July 27, with 14 gold medals up for grabs.
The Bercy Arena, resembling a pyramid from the outside and adorned with grass, was completed in 1984. It has been the venue for numerous high-profile events, including the Paris Tennis Masters and European Handball Championships.
China Media Group (CMG) oversees the international live broadcast for the gymnastics events in Paris, featuring upgraded techniques such as multi-camera replays to enhance the viewing experience.
Meanwhile, China's gymnastics team has officially arrived at the Olympic Village. The team, which secured three golds, three silvers, and two bronzes at the pandemic-delayed Tokyo Summer Olympics three years ago, is eager to compete once more. Deputy leader Lu Bin shared, \"We've been training in Monceau, which is 300 kilometers away from Paris, and the men's team arrived at the Olympic Village one day before the women.\"
He added, \"The male athletes are getting better and better, and made adjustments in their last training session, while the females had an open training session, and we are quite excited about the competitions.\"
