LeBron James’ Last-Second Layup Secures USA’s Victory Over South Sudan

In a nail-biting exhibition game in London, LeBron James showcased his legendary skills by making a decisive layup with just eight seconds remaining, propelling the USA to a thrilling 101-100 comeback victory against South Sudan.

South Sudan had dominated the game, leading by as many as 16 points, and came agonizingly close to sealing the win. Just twelve seconds before James' heroic play, J.T. Thor sank a crucial 3-pointer that nearly secured the match for South Sudan. Despite three additional opportunities to score in the final moments, South Sudan couldn't convert, allowing the USA to steal the game.

USA head coach Steve Kerr took responsibility for the close call, stating, \"I did not do a great job preparing our team, I think we did not focus enough on what they're capable of and that's on me.\" He added, \"They played a wonderful game and the ending was good for us just to feel that. To feel what it's going to be like in Paris and Lille. A good reminder that when we play against teams, it's the biggest game of their lives, and we have to expect everyone to play like that.\"

LeBron James delivered an outstanding performance, shooting 10-for-14 from the field and tallied 25 points, six rebounds, and seven assists. His clutch 3-point play and a triple in the team's 23-5 run at the end of the third quarter and the start of the fourth were pivotal in turning the game around.
