Spain’s La Roja Triumphs at Euro 2024: Victory Parade Celebrates Fourth Title

The Spanish national team celebrated their remarkable victory at Euro 2024 with a grand parade through Madrid. After winning all seven of their games, including a 2-1 triumph over England in the final held at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Spain lifted the Henri Delaunay Trophy for the fourth time, matching their previous wins in 1964, 2008, and 2012.

On Monday, La Roja visited the Zarzuela Palace, home of King Felipe VI, and the Moncloa Palace, the official residence of Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez. King Felipe VI commended the team’s brilliance, especially highlighting the contributions of 16-year-old Lamine Yamal. Prime Minister Sanchez expressed the team’s ambition, stating, \"We want a lot. We want more.\"

Renowned Spanish tennis champion Rafael Nadal praised the team's performance, saying, \"The whole country is very proud.\" The victory parade attracted tens of thousands of fans as the team made their way to Plaza Cibeles.

Captain Álvaro Morata expressed his pride in leading the team, saying, \"Sometimes I score goals, and sometimes I don't, but I promise you that I've given everything to win this European Championship … It was magical.\" Midfielder Rodri was named Player of the Tournament, while Lamine Yamal received the Best Young Player award with four assists.
