CMG Launches 2,000+ Team for 2024 Paris Olympics Broadcast

China Media Group (CMG) held a departing ceremony in Beijing on Friday for its broadcasting team that will cover the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, set to begin on July 26.

Senior officials, including Shen Haixiong, vice minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and president of CMG, alongside vice presidents Hu Jinjun and Xing Bo, attended the event.

In his speech, Shen emphasized that 2024 marks the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and France. He highlighted the Olympic Games as a significant platform for Chinese athletes to showcase their sportsmanship. Shen encouraged the broadcasting team to strive for excellence in their coverage of the Games.

Shen noted that CMG’s collaboration with international sports organizations has reached new heights. He stated that the 2024 Paris Olympics presents a unique opportunity to enhance media convergence by integrating ideology, art, and technology. CMG aims to leverage advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence and 8K ultra high definition, to produce breaking, exclusive, and original news content.

As a primary broadcaster for the 2024 Olympic Games, CMG is assembling a production and broadcasting team of over 2,000 professionals. Utilizing \"5G+4K/8K+AI\" technologies, CMG is committed to delivering high-quality coverage to a global audience.
