The roster of Team China for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris was confirmed on Saturday. A total of 405 athletes, including 136 males and 269 females, will participate in the Olympic Games that will begin on July 26.
Forty-two of the athletes are Olympic gold medalists and 223 of them will be making their Olympic debut in Paris. Twenty-six of the athletes are from ethnic minority groups. The average age of the team is 25 years old.
The team will be competing in 236 events across 42 disciplines and 30 sports at the Paris Olympics. A total of 311 working staff, including 42 foreigners, will be assisting them in training, coaching, and other areas. Thirty-four of these foreigners are coaches.
At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, China won a total of 89 medals, including 38 golds, 32 silvers, and 19 bronzes.
