Rising Star Jiang Yiting Eyes Success at Paris 2024 Olympics

At just 19 years old, Chinese shooter Jiang Yiting is set to make her Olympic debut in the women's skeet event at the Paris 2024 Summer Olympics. Despite her youth, Jiang is no stranger to high-level competition. She previously served as a training partner for established Chinese national team members Wei Meng and Zhang Donglian before the pandemic-delayed Tokyo Olympics in 2021, where Wei secured a bronze medal.

\"I was a training partner with the Chinese national team before the Tokyo Olympics,\" Jiang shared with the China Media Group (CMG). \"I was basically learning from the big brothers and sisters during that time to improve myself.\" This invaluable experience helped Jiang make her mark in domestic competitions in the following years, culminating in a first-place finish at the World Cup trials in early 2023.

\"I gained the most from competing in the final,\" Jiang reflected. \"For example, I began to understand what I should think of on break, as well as how to change my mindset to perform well in the final.\" Her dedication paid off when she was confirmed as a member of the Chinese national team for the Paris Olympics after the International Shooting Sport Federation World Cup in Italy in June.

Once a young fan of Chinese Olympians, Jiang now proudly joins their ranks. \"I feel proud of myself for being able to compete at the Olympic Games for the first time in my career,\" she said. With immense talent and determination, Jiang aspires to reach the top six at the Paris 2024 event.
