Hosts China continued their impressive streak with a decisive 3-0 win against Poland in the latest Federation of International Volleyball (FIVB) Women's Nations League match held in Hong Kong on Sunday.
Captain Yuan Xinyue led the team, scoring a match-high 16 points, while Li Yingying contributed 14 points for the home side.
In an exciting rematch of last season's Hong Kong stop, where Poland triumphed 3-0 over China, this year's encounter saw Poland take an early lead. However, China mounted a strong comeback from a 14-9 deficit, leveling the frame at 15-15 before securing the final point with Wu Mengjie's powerful smash, resulting in a 25-23 win for China.
Despite the absence of star outside hitter Zhu Ting due to injury, the Chinese team remained unfazed, cruising past Poland in straight sets with scores of 25-23, 25-15, and 25-19.
