Ronaldo Selfie Scare: Fan Breaks into Portugal’s Euro 2024 Training

Portugal kicked off their preparations for the 2024 UEFA European Championship with a spirited training session on Friday, drawing nearly 8,000 enthusiastic fans. However, the event took an unexpected turn when a supporter breached security and entered the pitch.

While security personnel swiftly managed to remove most of the spectators, one persistent fan managed to approach Cristiano Ronaldo and snap a selfie before being escorted out. Thankfully, the situation was handled without any injuries.

Portugal is set to compete in Group F alongside the Czech Republic, Georgia, and Türkiye, with their first match scheduled against the Czech Republic on June 18.

Reflecting on the team's prospects, Ronaldo expressed optimism, saying, \"I believe that this generation deserves to win a competition of this magnitude. Semifinals? I hope we can go further. We have to go step by step, live in the moment, be calm, work as well as we have until now, believe that it is possible. We know it's a short competition, but the team is ready.\"
