Olympic Champion Yohan Blake Lauds China’s Su Bingtian as ‘Really Great Athlete’

In a recent statement, Olympic champion Yohan Blake of Jamaica praised China's ace sprinter Su Bingtian, describing him as a \"really great athlete.\" Blake and Su have known each other since competing on the track in London 12 years ago, forging a strong bond through their shared passion for athletics.

When discussing his compatriot, the eight-time Olympic gold medalist Usain Bolt, Blake asserted that he trained harder than the icon nicknamed \"Lightning Bolt.\" The 34-year-old athlete added that the rivalry between him and Bolt was both fun and tough, pushing both sprinters to excel.

Blake's rigorous training sessions with Bolt inspired Bolt to give him the moniker \"The Beast.\" This accolade came after Blake won the world title in the 100 meters in 2011 in Daegu, South Korea, following Bolt's disqualification due to a false start.

The following year, Blake stunned Bolt by winning both the 100 meters and 200 meters at Jamaica's Olympic trials. However, Bolt would later reverse fortunes in the finals of both events in London. The dynamic duo then teamed up to lead Jamaica to the top of the relay podium in the British capital and again four years later in Rio de Janeiro.

Yohan Blake's acknowledgment of Su Bingtian underscores the global camaraderie and competitive spirit that drives athletes to achieve their best on the international stage.
