Southgate Announces England’s 26-Man Squad for Euro 2024

England's national team manager, Gareth Southgate, has unveiled the 26-player squad for the UEFA European Championship 2024. The announcement sees seven notable players, including Jack Grealish and Harry Maguire, being cut from the provisional list.

The seven players removed from the squad are Jack Grealish (Manchester City), Harry Maguire (Manchester United), James Maddison (Tottenham Hotspur), Curtis Jones and Jarell Quansah (Liverpool), Jarrad Branthwaite (Everton), and James Trafford (Burnley).

In a significant move, Southgate has infused the team with fresh talent, with 12 players traveling to Germany never having participated in a major international tournament before. This marks a shift towards nurturing young blood, as half of the players from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 squad have been left out this time around.

The Three Lions are looking to build a dynamic and youthful team, aiming to make a strong impact at Euro 2024 with a blend of experience and new energy.
