Chinese para-athlete Wen Xiaoyan made a remarkable statement at the Para Athletics World Championships in Kobe, Japan, by setting a new world record in the women’s 100m T37 final. Competing at the Universiade Memorial Stadium, the 27-year-old sprinter crossed the finish line in an impressive 12.27 seconds, securing her second gold medal of the event after successfully defending her title in the women’s long jump T37 final.

Reflecting on her record-breaking performance, Wen shared with Xinhua, \"Today I started with the starting block. I always believe there is room for breakthroughs, so this year I began to use the starting block in training. This bold attempt worked well, actually.\" Her passion for sports and running is evident as she added, \"I love sports, and I love running,\" expressing her ambition for future achievements.

The competition was intense, with Taylor Swanson of the United States taking the silver with a personal best time of 12.86 seconds. China's Jiang Fenfen also showcased her talent by finishing third with a season-best time of 13.26 seconds.
