Team China Dominates Artistic Swimming World Cup with Triple Gold on Day 2

Team China showcased their prowess in artistic swimming by clinching three gold medals on the second day of the World Aquatics Artistic Swimming World Cup held in Beijing. This achievement brings their total to six golds and one silver in the first leg of the tournament.

Among the standout performers was 18-year-old Xu Huiyan, who achieved a remarkable three-peat by winning the women's solo free title. Xu secured her victory with an impressive score of 33.5188 points, outpacing Isabel Cui of Spain and Marloes Steenbeek of the Netherlands.

\"The three gold medals really inspire me to forge ahead. I keep improving myself through world-level events this year. For the women's duet free event tomorrow, I will try my best to concentrate on the rhythm and cooperate with my partner,\" Xu stated.

Isabel Cui, who was born in Spain to Chinese parents, shared her excitement about the competition held at the iconic Water Cube Olympic venue. \"I started practicing artistic swimming since the age of eight, from about three hours a week at the beginning to three hours a day gradually. I was excited to show myself in the Olympic venue, the Water Cube. My relatives in China also came to cheer for me,\" she added.
