Warriors’ 3-Point Explosion Dashes Rockets’ Playoff Hopes

The Golden State Warriors delivered a powerful performance on April 4, defeating the Houston Rockets 133-110 at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. This victory extends the Warriors' winning streak to six games, while the Rockets, suffering their third consecutive loss, find themselves four games behind and ranked 10th in the Western Conference.

With just six games remaining in the regular season, the Rockets' chances of making it to the play-in tournament have significantly diminished. The Warriors showcased their offensive prowess by sinking 17 three-pointers out of 35 attempts during the game. While not every player hit their shots, key contributions came from various players.

Stephen Curry, the Warriors' standout star, missed two of his six three-point attempts, while veteran point guard Chris Paul was flawless from deep, making both of his 3-pointers in the first quarter. Lester Quinones hit all three of his three-point attempts, albeit during garbage time.

However, it was Klay Thompson who stole the spotlight, knocking down seven three-pointers from 11 attempts. This marks the 50th game of Thompson's career where he has made at least seven three-pointers from downtown, ranking him second in NBA all-time history, just behind his teammate Curry.
