Alcaraz, Sinner & Medvedev Reach Miami Open Quarters in Straight Sets

Top seeds Carlos Alcaraz of Spain, Jannik Sinner of Italy, and defending champion Daniil Medvedev of Russia have secured their spots in the Miami Open quarterfinals with impressive straight-set victories on Tuesday.

Alcaraz, 20, dominated Italy's Lorenzo Musetti with a convincing 6-3, 6-3 win in under 90 minutes. This victory puts Alcaraz on the path to completing the Sunshine Double, having already defended his title against Medvedev at Indian Wells earlier this month.

Meanwhile, Daniil Medvedev showcased his resilience by defeating Germany's Dominik Koepfer 7-6(7-5), 6-0, while Jannik Sinner of Italy overcame Australia's Christopher O'Connell with a 6-4, 6-3 triumph.

In other quarterfinal action, Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov advanced by eliminating Poland's Hubert Hurkacz in a thrilling three-set match, 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(3), marking his first quarterfinal appearance in Miami.

Looking ahead, Carlos Alcaraz is set to face Dimitrov in what promises to be an exciting quarterfinal clash, further intensifying the competition as the Miami Open progresses.
