The draw for the Paris 2024 Olympics basketball competition has unveiled the groups for the preliminary rounds. The Chinese women's basketball team has been placed in Group A alongside Serbia, Spain, and Puerto Rico.
China's squad, which secured fifth place in the Tokyo Olympics and was the runner-up in the 2022 FIBA World Cup, is set to begin their Olympic journey with a match against Spain on July 29. They will then face Serbia on August 1 and Puerto Rico on August 4.
In contrast, the men's basketball draw is still pending. The Olympic Qualifying Tournaments scheduled to take place in Greece, Latvia, Puerto Rico, and Spain in early July will determine the last four berths for the men's competition.
