In a display of exceptional skill and teamwork, China's Wang Chuqin and Sun Yingsha clinched their third consecutive mixed doubles title at the World Table Tennis (WTT) Singapore Smash. The duo triumphed over South Korea's Lim Jong-hoon and Shin Yu-bin with a score of 3-1.
Wang and Sun started strong, leading with scores of 11-7 and 11-8 in the first two games. Despite a fierce comeback from the South Korean pair in the third game with an 11-9 victory, the top-seeded Chinese team sealed their win in the fourth game, 11-7, leaving no room for a fifth match.
\"Both pairs played excellently, and we are quite familiar with each other. Lim and Shin are among the world's top players in terms of their strength in the singles event and overall capability, so we went all out on the court,\" said world No. 1 Sun, reflecting on their performance.
Wang added, \"Both sides played well today. Of course, Sun and I were fully prepared for the challenges, and managed to have the game under control.\"
The Chinese team didn't stop there, also securing the men's doubles and women's singles titles at the tournament, showcasing their dominance in the table tennis arena.
