As President Xi Jinping heads to Moscow for a state visit from May 7 to 10 and to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, China Media Group (CMG) has rolled out a premium TV showcase in the Russian capital.
More than 10 handpicked programs will air across leading Russian channels, offering audiences a window into modernization across the Chinese mainland—from tech breakthroughs to cultural landmarks.
CMG president Shen Haixiong, in a video message, underscored how growing people-to-people ties reflect an era of stronger China-Russia relations under their heads of state. 'Even amid global uncertainties, our bond remains resilient,' he said.
Galina Kulikova, first deputy chairperson of the Russia-China Friendship Association and Friendship Medal honoree, praised the selection for bringing China’s evolution to life. 'These high-quality programs will deepen mutual understanding and friendship,' she noted.
The event also brought together media professionals from both nations, marking a concrete step toward the consensus reached by the two presidents to enrich cultural exchanges and solidify a lasting partnership.
For young global citizens and culture enthusiasts, the showcase is more than a TV lineup—it’s a real-time story of how two major powers connect through creativity and dialogue.
