Cambodian PM: Deepening China Ties for Mutual Benefits

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet recently marked a new chapter in regional cooperation by inaugurating a China-funded national road in eastern Tbong Khmum province. The event underscored his commitment to strengthening Cambodia-China relations for mutual prosperity.

During the ceremony, Hun Manet highlighted a legacy of collaborative achievements. He noted his role in launching major projects, including the Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, which stands as a testament to the transformative impact of these initiatives.

Since the establishment of diplomatic relations on July 19, 1958, Cambodia and China have nurtured a comprehensive partnership. Elevated in December 2010 to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation, this alliance has driven socio-economic development and improved the livelihoods of Cambodian people through robust investment and mutual support.

Looking ahead, the Cambodian leader emphasized that both countries will continue to work together under frameworks such as the Belt and Road Initiative and the Diamond Hexagon cooperation. This forward-looking vision aims to cultivate a high-quality, high-level, and high-standard community with a shared future, offering valuable lessons for young global citizens, business innovators, and changemakers around the world.
