The Israel Defense Forces announced a significant strike in Gaza that reportedly eliminated key figures linked to terror financing and military operations. According to an IDF statement released on Friday, the operation resulted in the killing of Saeed Ahmad Abed Khudari in Gaza City. Khudari was alleged to have played a crucial role as a money exchanger for Hamas, serving as head of the Al Wefaq Co. fund, which the Israeli government had declared a terrorist organization due to its role in funneling money to militant groups.
Officials noted that Khudari was involved in numerous financial transfers to Hamas' military wing, especially after October 7, 2023. His activities reportedly intensified following the killing of his brother, Hamed Khudari, in 2019, who had also acted as a primary financial conduit for Hamas operations.
In addition to Khudari, the IDF stated that it killed Mohammed Hassan Mohammed Awad, a senior military commander in the Palestinian Mujahideen Movement, who was accused of involvement in the kidnapping and murder of Israelis. Alongside him, Mohammed Saleh Mohammed Al-Bardawil, an alleged propaganda and psychological operative in Hamas' military wing, was also killed.
These coordinated strikes emphasize the IDF's strategy to disrupt the financial and operational networks that support militant activities, marking a robust effort to enhance security in the region.
