Singapore's Elections Department (ELD) announced on Monday that certified registers of electors will open for public inspection starting Tuesday. The registers, listing a total of 2,758,095 eligible electors, were first available for review in February as part of the standard process ahead of the general election expected by November 2025.
This second round of public inspection invites electors to verify their details based on electoral boundaries that were originally set as of February 1. Notably, on March 11, the city-state revised these boundaries following recommendations from the Electoral Boundaries Review Committee, reflecting recent population shifts and new housing developments.
In preparation for the upcoming election, the ELD is now compiling composite registers by realigning polling districts with the updated electoral divisions. Citizens are advised to await further updates on the release of these composite registers before confirming their voter information.
Earlier in January, Prime Minister Lawrence Wong directed the Registration Officer to initiate a revision of the registers. Wong is set to lead the ruling People's Action Party into the polls, underscoring a commitment to transparency and preparedness ahead of the general election.
