Building Bridges: China’s Foreign Ministry Celebrates 2025 with Global Unity Focus

In a grand celebration of international harmony, Foreign Minister Wang Yi hosted the Chinese Foreign Ministry's 2025 New Year reception at the Beijing Performing Arts Center last Friday.

Approximately 400 attendees gathered for the event, including Yin Li, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and secretary of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee. Diplomatic envoys from various countries, representatives of international organizations in China, and officials from Chinese government departments were also present.

Wang Yi, a prominent member of the CPC Central Committee, underscored China's unwavering commitment to building a community with a shared future for mankind. He highlighted China's dedication to fostering peace and taking on the responsibility of driving global development. Wang emphasized that China's diplomatic efforts have played a crucial role in bringing stability and positive energy to an increasingly turbulent world.

Reflecting on the past year, Wang acknowledged the numerous visits by diplomatic envoys and international organization representatives to different regions of China. These interactions have built meaningful friendships and strengthened ties between the Chinese people and their counterparts around the world.

\"China is steadfast in working with all nations to prioritize global well-being, overcome divisions and conflicts, and promote friendship and cooperation,\" Wang stated. \"Together, let us enhance mutual understanding among cultures and build a community with a shared future for mankind.\"

Martin Mpana, dean of the foreign diplomatic corps in China and Cameroon's ambassador to China, conveyed New Year wishes to the Chinese people on behalf of the diplomatic community. He praised China's diplomatic efforts for its role as a responsible major country contributing to addressing global uncertainties and challenges. Mpana added that nations worldwide are eager to deepen friendships, strengthen exchanges, and enhance cooperation with China to build a community with a shared future for mankind.
