BRICS Media Dialogue in Kazan Champions Global Cooperation

The Kazan BRICS Media Dialogue, themed \"Exchange and Mutual Learning for A Shared Future,\" successfully took place on Wednesday in Russia's vibrant city of Kazan, the host of the 16th BRICS Summit.

Leading figures from mainstream media, government agencies, and think tanks representing China, Russia, Brazil, South Africa, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Iran, Belarus, and other nations gathered for the event. Co-hosted by China Media Group (CMG) and the All-Russia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, the dialogue focused on effectively conveying BRICS modernization stories and disseminating comprehensive, objective, and impartial news worldwide.

Attendees engaged in in-depth discussions aimed at building consensus, deepening cooperation, and learning from each other. They emphasized the role of media in promoting the construction of a community with a shared future for mankind.

Shen Haixiong, president of CMG, highlighted the enduring BRICS spirit of openness, inclusiveness, and win-win cooperation during his speech. He articulated the commitment of BRICS media to act as transmitters of common values, guardians of diverse civilizations, and leaders in cultural cooperation.

Shen also expressed optimism that with BRICS' expansion, its media would adhere to the five commitments proposed by President Xi Jinping at the summit: peace, innovation, green development, justice, and enhanced people-to-people exchanges.

He concluded by advocating for a unified BRICS media voice to promote common development and shared values, reinforcing the group's dedication to collaborative growth and mutual understanding.
