Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC Central Committee, visited Dongshan County in Zhangzhou City, located in the southeast of the Chinese mainland's Fujian Province, on Tuesday afternoon.
During his inspection, Xi toured Aojiao Village in Chencheng Town, the Gu Wenchang Memorial Hall, and the Guandi Cultural Industrial Park. These visits highlighted the local initiatives aimed at advancing rural revitalization, preserving revolutionary traditions, and protecting cultural heritage.
At Aojiao Village, Xi expressed optimism about the future of China's countryside, stating that farmers will enjoy a more prosperous life as the nation embarks on a new journey in the new era.
At the Gu Wenchang Memorial Hall, Xi learned about the commendable contributions of Gu, a former Party chief of Dongshan. He praised Gu as an exemplary representative of the many outstanding leaders within the CPC and urged current officials to emulate Guâs dedication and governance practices to further promote local development.
