Chinese leader Xi Jinping has called on the southeastern Fujian Province to take a pioneering role in China's ongoing modernization drive. During an inspection tour of the coastal province on Tuesday and Wednesday, Xi emphasized the importance of remaining steadfast in development goals.
As the General Secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Chairman of the Central Military Commission, Xi highlighted that Fujian should continue to advance the development of a modern economic system. He envisions Fujian as a key player in accelerating economic growth and setting an example for other regions across the nation.
