Chinese Premier Li Qiang is set to attend the 27th China-ASEAN Summit, the 27th ASEAN Plus Three (APT) Summit, and the 19th East Asia Summit in Vientiane, Laos, from October 9 to 12. Additionally, he will pay an official visit to Laos and Vietnam, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning.
Invited by Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, the current ASEAN chair, Premier Li's presence aims to strengthen regional cooperation and foster deeper strategic ties. Following his time in Laos, Li will visit Vietnam from October 12 to 14 at the invitation of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
This marks Premier Li's first visit to Laos and Vietnam since taking office, highlighting the significance of promoting comprehensive strategic cooperation and building a community with a shared future. The Chinese Foreign Ministry expressed optimism about working closely with ASEAN and other regional nations to enhance peace, stability, and prosperity in the region and globally.
