Pakistani PM Condemns Deadly Attack on Chinese Convoy in Karachi

In a swift response to the tragic events of Sunday night, Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his profound shock and sorrow over the attack on a Chinese national convoy in Karachi. The incident, which occurred near Jinnah International Airport, resulted in the loss of two Chinese lives and left another individual injured.

Prime Minister Sharif released an official statement strongly condemning the \"heinous act\" and extending his \"heartfelt condolences\" to the people of China, particularly the families affected by this tragedy.

\"I am deeply shocked and saddened by last night's tragic incident in Karachi, resulting in the loss of two precious Chinese lives and injuring another,\" stated Sharif. He also offered prayers for the swift recovery of the injured individual.

Assuring decisive action, the prime minister confirmed that an immediate investigation is underway to identify the perpetrators and bring them to justice. He emphasized Pakistan's unwavering commitment to protecting Chinese nationals residing in the country.

The Chinese Embassy in Pakistan reported that the attack targeted a convoy from the Port Qasim Electric Power Company around 11:00 p.m. local time on Sunday (1800 GMT). Security personnel are actively inspecting the site in the aftermath of the attack.
